 Former Ministry of Agriculture and Industry of Mongolia was re-organized as the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Food and Agriculture in accordance with the Law of amendments to the Government of Mongolia adopted by the Parliament on August 3, 2000 and Government decree # 131 of 2000 on the approval of the Ministries’ organizational structure.

August 28-31, 2007 The Government of Mongolia along with United Nations High Commissioner’s Office of Least developing countries, Landlocked developing countries and Small Islands (UN-OHRLLS) and UNDP Country Office in Mongolia has organized the Global Event of Landlocked Developing Countries and Transit Countries on Trade and Trade Facilitation has been organized in Ulaanbaatar between 28-31 of August, 2007.

Seminar on International Trade

July 02, 2007 The Summer School Seminar on International Trade, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Economic Policy Reform and Competitiveness Project of the USAID, The National University of Mongolia and GTZ, was held in Ulaanbaatar between 18th and 29 of June under four modules including Modeling and Trade Policy Analysis, Introduction to WTO, Specific Trade Agreements and Trade Negotiation Skills.
